{"id":5686,"date":"2023-04-28T18:32:29","date_gmt":"2023-04-28T18:32:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/connect.apsanet.org\/apsa2023\/?page_id=5686"},"modified":"2023-07-14T15:04:52","modified_gmt":"2023-07-14T15:04:52","slug":"childcare-reimbursement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/connect.apsanet.org\/apsa2023\/childcare-reimbursement\/","title":{"rendered":"Childcare Reimbursement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To support APSA Annual Meeting members and attendees who require childcare to attend the meeting, APSA is now offering an opportunity to apply for a limited number of reimbursements (up to $250 per family) to help subsidize the cost of childcare in Los Angeles for in-person APSA members at the 2023 Annual Meeting.&nbsp;<strong>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/apsa.secure-platform.com\/a\/solicitations\/164\/home\"><b>deadline to apply<\/b><\/a>&nbsp;to be considered for a childcare reimbursement is August 4, 2023. &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/apsa.secure-platform.com\/a\/solicitations\/164\/home\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\tApply Now<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements for Childcare Reimbursement:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicant must be an APSA Member registered to attend the in-person APSA Annual Meeting;<\/li>\n<li>Allowable reimbursements include child care services in LA (arranged by the attendee) for one or more dependents requiring it and\/or travel of a caregiver, who is not a parent\/legal guardian of the dependent(s) to Los Angeles;<\/li>\n<li>Must have one or more dependents requiring childcare in Los Angeles (arranged by the attendee) to attend the Meeting;<\/li>\n<li>Only one caregiver per family may apply;<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursements are not intended to cover routine childcare costs that a member is already paying on a day-to-day basis and cannot be used to pay another parent\/legal guardian for care of the dependent<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to applicants in the early stages of their careers;<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursements will not cover other miscellaneous costs related to childcare, such as meals, travel, and activities;<\/li>\n<li>Itemized receipts must include childcare service provider name (based in Los Angeles), dates of service (during the meeting), amount of service, and provider signature;<\/li>\n<li><strong>All itemized receipts must be uploaded by September 22, 2023.
