LGBTQ+ individuals and allies are invited to participate in APSA\u2019s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first queer politics paper presented at an annual meeting. This celebration includes a two-day mini-conference, reception, and invitation luncheon honoring the 1973 paper author, Kenneth Sherrill.<\/p>\n<p><a>Kenneth Sherrill Tribute<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kenneth Sherrill, professor emeritus at Hunter College, City University of New York, presented at the 1973 annual meeting the paper, \u201cLeaders in the Gay Activist Movement: The Problem of Finding the Followers.\u201d More information about Ken\u2019s professional and political achievements are available in the August 2023 issue of <em>Political Science Today<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Two awards bear Sherrill\u2019s name.
