Review the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/connect.apsanet.org\/apsa2023\/annual-meeting-faqs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Annual Meeting FAQs<\/a>&nbsp;or email us at <a href=\"mailto:meeting@apsanet.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">meeting@apsanet.org<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Virtual Participation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting Wednesday, 8\/30, virtual events will appear in the All Academic submission system\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/convention2.allacademic.com\/one\/apsa\/apsa23\/\" target=\"_blank\">online program.<\/a>\u00a0To see the links to the virtual meetings, you must be registered and log in with your APSA credentials. \u00a0Please <a href=\"https:\/\/convention2.allacademic.com\/one\/apsa\/apsa23\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/convention2.allacademic.com\/one\/apsa\/apsa23\/\">test your APSA credentials<\/a> in advance of the meeting to ensure you can seamlessly access the platform. \u00a0\u00a0To sign into the <a href=\"https:\/\/convention2.allacademic.com\/one\/apsa\/apsa23\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/convention2.allacademic.com\/one\/apsa\/apsa23\/\">online program<\/a>, use the \u201cSign In\u201d button at the bottom of the menu on the left side.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once in the platform, you will search for the title (or by using one of the filters on the left side), and when you find the event, you will see that the location is virtual. If it is not virtual, we have it as in-person and do not have a link for it. For those are listed as virtual, you\u2019ll click on the correct title\/entry.&nbsp; This will open up the panel details. You can then click the \u201cJoin Zoom Meeting\u201d (or other meeting type) under \u201cOnline Resources,\u201d starting Wednesday, 8\/30. Sharing links can create security issues.&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:43px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Other Best Tips for Virtual Presentations: <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hosts\/Chairs should log into their Zoom room and join their session 15 minutes prior to the start of the session to allow presenters to enter.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Silence or power off your phone.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be aware of where your device camera is. Make sure it is at eye level and look at the camera when delivering your comments in order to facilitate better engagement with the viewers. If you are presenting formal remarks, be sure to rehearse in front of a camera so that you can see how your delivery will look.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are presenting, be sure to have a water nearby.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid busy clothing patterns or backgrounds.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If using them, keep your slides concise.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be respectful of the time available for all participants and the Q&amp;A.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refer back to other points you\u2019ve made in case a participant joins late.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mute your line when you are not presenting to reduce audio feedback and background noise.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the case of a disruption, the host\/chair should be prepared to remove an individual from the room or shut down the Zoom room. Rooms will have a 6\u2032 table with chairs and general Wi-Fi access.
