{"id":650,"date":"2024-04-03T16:15:50","date_gmt":"2024-04-03T16:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/connect.apsanet.org\/apsa2024\/?page_id=650"},"modified":"2024-08-28T17:59:39","modified_gmt":"2024-08-28T17:59:39","slug":"childcare-reimbursement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/connect.apsanet.org\/apsa2024\/childcare-reimbursement\/","title":{"rendered":"Childcare Reimbursement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To support APSA Annual Meeting members and attendees who require childcare to attend the meeting, APSA\u00a0is now offering a limited number of reimbursements (up to $500 per family) to help subsidize the cost of childcare\u00a0in Philadelphia\u00a0specifically for attending the Annual Meeting.\u00a0<strong>The deadline to submit a request form is August 2, 2024.<\/strong>\u00a0All receipts must be uploaded by <strong>September\u00a029, 2024<\/strong> \u2014 a new form will be sent for these uploads following the Annual Meeting. <strong>Please note APSA is not providing onsite childcare.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements for Childcare Reimbursement:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicant must be a current APSA Member registered to attend the APSA Annual Meeting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allowable reimbursements include childcare services in Philadelphia (arranged by the attendee) for one or more dependents requiring it and\/or the travel of a child or caregiver;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only one caregiver per family may apply;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preference will be given to applicants in the early stages of their careers;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reimbursements are not intended to cover routine childcare costs that a member is already paying on day-to-day basis and cannot be used to pay another parent\/ legal guardian for care of the dependent;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reimbursements will not cover other miscellaneous costs related to childcare, such as meals and activities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Itemized receipts must include the childcare service provider name (based in Philadelphia), the dates of service (during the Annual Meeting), the amount of service, and the provider\u2019s signature;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>All&nbsp;itemized receipts<\/strong>&nbsp;must be uploaded by <strong>September 29, 2024<\/strong>. A new form will be sent for these uploads following the Annual Meeting.
