Attending were\u00a016 women who\u00a0study related issues in Japanese Politics and American Politics at the intersection of gender, including facilitators Linda Hasunuma (University of Bridgeport), Mari Miura (Sophia University), Ki-Young Shin (Ochanomizu University) and Melissa Deckman (Washington College). The program included\u00a0academic working sessions, research panels, guest lectures from local practitioners and\/or policy makers, professional development sessions, and numerous networking opportunities (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mk0apsaconnectbvy6p6.kinstacdn.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2019\/02\/2018-JAWS-detailed-schedule.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">schedule.pdf<\/a>).
