Committee members are crucial to the running of the section and collectively make decisions about section activities, administration, future directions, and section awards and grants. They serve for a two-year term. Executive Committee membership is typically required by section rules for holding other section leadership positions including Chair, Chair-Elect and Treasurer.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>You may nominate yourself or a colleague. As a reminder, if you are nominating a colleague, please make sure that you have their consent before nomination, and CC them on the nomination email. To nominate yourself or a colleague, please forward a candidate\u2019s short biography (no more than 150 words), including the candidate\u2019s institutional affiliation, to\u00a0<b><a href=\"mailto:apsa.religion.politics@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apsa.religion.politics@gmail.com<\/a><\/b> by <strong>Wednesday<\/strong><b>, August 20, 2025.\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div>Candidates will then participate in an online election in which all section members vote. The top three vote-getting candidates will assume the three vacant positions.
