Lane Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Robert E. Lane Award is given by the Political Psychology section to recognize the best book in political psychology published in the past year.\u00a0 This year, we have two winning selections:\u00a0 Bethany Albertson and Shana Gadarian\u2019s Anxious Politics: Democratic Citizenship in a Threatening World and Stuart J. Kaufman\u2019s Nationalist Passions.\u00a0 Congratulations!<\/p>\n<p>Thanks also to Kent Jennnings, Beth Miller Vonnahme, and Daniel Myers for all of their excellent efforts in selecting the winners of the award.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best Paper Award \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Eric Groenendyk and Yanna Krupnikov\u2019s paper, \u201cWhat Motivates Reasoning?\u00a0 A Goal-Oriented Theory of Political Evaluation,\u201d was selected as winner of the section\u2019s Best Paper Award.\u00a0 Congrats to both authors!<\/p>\n<p>Many thanks to David Redlawsk, Brendan Nyhan, and Michael Tesler for all of their time and service to this award committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Best Dissertation Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to Eun Bin Chung for winning the section\u2019s Best Dissertation Award!<\/p>\n<p>Her dissertation, \u201cOvercoming the History Problem: Group-Affirmation in International Relations\u201d was selected from a slate of excellent submissions. Thanks also to the award committee of Zoe Oxley, Elizabeth Suhay, and Timothy Ryan for all of their efforts!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distinguished Junior Scholars Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Three winners were selected to be recognized with Distinguished Junior Scholars Awards.\u00a0 This award is given to graduate students and junior scholars to help fund their travel to the APSA annual meeting.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s winners are D.J. Flynn, Matthew Ward, and Tarah Williams.
