The Class & Inequality section and the section on Race, Ethnicity, and Politics<\/a> are pleased to announce the two winners from our first annual graduate student poster session on inequality. The prize committee, consisting of Jake Grumbach, Cecilia Mo, and Jesse Rhodes, has awarded the best poster on economic inequality to Josh McCrain (Emory) for “Legislative Staff and Inequality in Representation” and the best poster on social inequality to Christine Slaughter (UCLA) for “Contextual and Persistent: Poverty, Empowerment, and Engagement among African Americans.”<\/p>\n

We want to extend a big thanks to the prize committee, the discussants who made time to participate in the session and give comments on the individual posters, and all the graduate student participants. We look forward to continuing this tradition in future years\u2019 APSAs!<\/p>\n
