A timer displays in the upper right hand corner to show your remaining time. You cannot save a partially constructed proposal, but an alternative option would be to submit what you do have in the system. You can then come back and edit the proposal up until the deadline of Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Avoid using the \u201cback\u201d button on your web browser.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each page includes its own instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your actions are not saved until you click \u201cAccept and Continue\u201d At the bottom of each page\/step.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After you review your submission information on the final page, click \u201cSave This Submission.\u201d&nbsp; You should receive a confirmation email.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please be sure you receive a confirmation email from&nbsp;<strong>do_not_reply@allacademic.com<\/strong>&nbsp;before exiting the system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must have an APSA account to submit a proposal. If you do not have an APSA account, you can create one here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apsanet.org\/Registration\">www.apsanet.org\/Registration<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The submission deadline was extended to Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:clamp(14px, 0.875rem + ((1vw - 3.2px) * 0.521), 19px);\"><strong>Submitting a Proposal<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin the process of submission, select \u201cSubmit or Edit a Proposal.\u201d Continue the process of submission by selecting \u201cSubmit a Track Paper Proposal\u201d to submit to a specific track. You can also select either \u201cSubmit a Workshop\u201d or &#8220;Submit a Roundtable&#8221; to submit a workshop or roundtable that will be open to any conference attendee. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please see \u201cEdit an Existing Submission\u201d instructions down below for help in editing previous submissions.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Submission Procedures and Rules <\/summary>\n<p>To use the&nbsp;online proposal submission system, you need a valid e-mail address, an APSAnet.org account, and internet connectivity. To submit your proposal, log into your APSAnet.org account and access the submission system.&nbsp; If you do not have an APSAnet.org account, you can create one&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apsanet.org\/Registration\">here<\/a>.<br><br>All proposals must be submitted by Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific. <br><br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Confirmations<\/span><br>All electronic proposal submissions will receive a unique ID number and email confirmation. Please save confirmation email and ID number for future reference.&nbsp;Contact APSA at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:meeting@apsanet.org\">meeting@apsanet.org<\/a>&nbsp;if you do not receive an email confirmation of your submission within 24 hours.&nbsp;You can view, edit, or delete submissions until the call for papers deadline through your View Submissions section on your homepage when logged into All Academic.<br><br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Acceptance Notification<\/span><br>In late October 2024, you will receive an acceptance or rejection e-mail for each proposal you submitted. If accepted for a panel, the email will indicate the track for which you are accepted. If your proposal is not immediately accepted, you may be contacted at a later date to present if spaces become available on the program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If their proposal is accepted, individuals will be required to formally indicate their willingness to participate in the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>APSA reserves the right to select or remove panels and participants and to change the date, time, and the format of a panel or presentation at its sole discretion.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Proposal Submission Options<\/summary>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Title &amp; Abstract<\/span><strong><br><\/strong>Titles are limited to 80 characters.&nbsp;Please type your title in title case, i.e., start principal words with capital letters. Do not use capital letters for prepositions, articles, or conjunctions, unless it is one word. Do not use all capital letters or all small letters in your title. Do not put quotes around the title, unless you are emphasizing terms or book titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abstracts are limited to 5000 characters. You may copy and paste your abstract from a word processing program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Second Choice Track<\/span><strong>&nbsp;<br><\/strong>If submitting a track proposal, please select a second choice track for your proposal to be considered under. This does not count as a second proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Selecting &amp; Adding Authors<\/span><br>First, all authors must have a complimentary APSAnet.org account. If they do not, they can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.apsanet.org\/Registration?returnurl=%2fABOUT%2fAbout-APSA\">create one here<\/a>. Once they have done this, you can search for them in the database. Search by last name only. Please note that there can be up to a 24 hour delay for participants to appear in the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An author search will produce a list of authors under the \u201cChoose From List of Authors\u201d table heading. To add an author, click \u201cAdd\u201d in the \u201cAction\u201d field. &nbsp;If they are an author, but not planning to present and attend the conference, please click \u201cAdd Non-Presenting Co-Author.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Continue this process until you have searched and added all the applicable authors from the association database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Additional Instructions for Workshops and Roundtables<\/span><br>To add chairs, discussants or presenters, search by last name under \u201cAdd Other Participants\u201d on Step 2. These individuals will also need to have an APSAnet.org account to be added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Submission Confirmation<\/span><br>Once you have completed a submission, you will receive an automated email from do_not_reply@allacademic.com. The email will arrive within minutes of completing your submission. If you do not receive the email, it may be because of one of the following reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You did not complete the submission process properly. Go back and review the above help notes to make sure you have completed the process. Make sure that you have completed the upload paper steps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your email address is incorrect. If you log in with an email account you no longer use, you will not receive email notifications. Please update your email with your association.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your email has very sensitive spam blockers that are blocking the incoming email. You can check your \u201cjunk\u201d email inbox, add the domain \u201c@allacademic.com\u201d to your safe list, and talk with your email provider to resolve this issue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can also check online that your proposal was properly uploaded by clicking on \u201cSubmit or Edit Submission\u201d and viewing the Submission tab at the bottom of the page. A list of your submissions will appear below by title. Click on the desired submission title. Your proposal was successfully uploaded, if on the Submission Summary form, under the \u201cProposal\u201d sub-heading, the file name that the system assigned to your proposal is listed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you receive your email confirmation, do not reply to All Academic. The email will not be viewed or answered. For questions about your submission, the process, its status, or any other issues, please contact APSA at&nbsp;meeting@apsanet.org&nbsp;or by phone at&nbsp;202-483-2512.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Editing a Submission<\/summary>\n<p>You may edit a submission up until the submission deadline of&nbsp;<strong>Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific<\/strong>.&nbsp;To edit a proposal that has been submitted, click \u201cSubmit or Edit a Proposal\u201d on the Main Menu. A list of your submitted proposals by title will appear at the bottom of the page. Click on the \u201cedit\u201d link next to the desired title<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next page will display the submission summary. You can edit data using \u201cEdit\u201d (to the right of each item of session information \u2013 title, abstract, etc.). Edit the desired data, and follow the forms back to the submission summary using \u201cAccept and Continue\u201d on each page.
