Join political science teacher-scholars and students for a unique meeting to promote greater
understanding of high-impact practices and innovative methodologies for the political science classroom. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The conference theme is \u201cTeaching Political Science Matters.\u201d<\/strong> <\/a>Building on the work done by John Ishiyama\u2019s APSA Presidential Task Force entitled, Rethinking Political Science Education<\/a>,<\/em> the 2025 Teaching & Learning Conference will advance those recommendations by exploring why teaching political science matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theme: “Teaching Political Science Matters”<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

How can we reconsider and reimagine our own programs, curriculum, and pedagogy?  Higher education has changed dramatically in the past couple of decades and yet the importance and value of a political science education has never been more apparent: we must teach<\/em> how politics works and the importance of democratic values and civic engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
