Roberts<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong>Joseph W. Roberts<\/strong>&nbsp;(Ph.D., University of Utah)&nbsp;is Professor&nbsp;and Chair&nbsp;of Politics and International Relations at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rwu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Roger Williams University<\/a> in Bristol, Rhode Island. Professor Roberts teaches international relations, comparative politics, and sustainability&nbsp;in addition to courses in his specialty area of Middle Eastern politics, political violence, and&nbsp;ethnic conflict.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">He has served as Treasurer and President of the Political Science Education section of&nbsp;APSA.&nbsp;He&nbsp;currently serves&nbsp;at&nbsp;the Chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isanet.org\/ISA\/Governance\/Committees\/Professional-Development\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Studies Association Professional Development Committee<\/a> and&nbsp;served as the inaugural Chair of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isanet.org\/ISA\/Sections\/ELIAS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Education and Learning in International Affairs Section (ELIAS)<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Professor Roberts served as the Political Science Instruction Editor for the&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/journals\/upse20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Journal of Political Science Education<\/a><\/em>. Curry<\/strong>&nbsp;(Ph.D., University of Maryland) is a Professor of Political Science at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nd.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Notre Dame<\/a>. His research centers on U.S. politics and policymaking, with a focus on the U.S. Congress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Dr. Curry is the author of three books:&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/chicago\/L\/bo20832419.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Legislating in the Dark<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;(2015),&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/press.uchicago.edu\/ucp\/books\/book\/chicago\/L\/bo51795068.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Limits of Party<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;(2020, with Frances E. Lee), and&nbsp;<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.routledge.com\/Understanding-American-Legislatures-The-Need-for-Interpretive-Qualitative-Research\/Curry\/p\/book\/9781032412245\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Understanding American Legislatures<\/a><\/em>&nbsp;(2025). She is a past recipient of the <a href=\"https:\/\/grad.msu.edu\/diversity-and-community\/community-programs\/king-chavez-parks-future-faculty-fellowship-program\">King-Chavez Park Future Faculty Fellowship<\/a> and a co-PI on a grant from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newamerica.org\/\">New America Foundation<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Her research studies political behavior among both political elites and the mass public in the United States, with a particular focus on how race and gender impact participation in civic life, including running for office, voting, and broader political engagement. Her work has published in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/journals\/rpgi20\"><em>Politics, Groups, and Identities<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/home\/apr\"><em>American Politics Research<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/journals\/journal-of-race-ethnicity-and-politics\"><em>Journal of Race, Ethnicity, and Politics<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">Dr. Scott is currently working on a book-length manuscript exploring Black women\u2019s political emergence in state-level politics. Her research focuses on communal conflict, political violence, ethnic politics, conflict management, and democracy. Her recent work examines right-wing terrorism in the United States, United Nations peacekeeping and terrorism, and the role of women in post-conflict transitions. Her research has been published in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/home\/CMP\"><em>Conflict Management and Peace Science<\/em><\/a>, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/home\/jcr\"><em>Journal of Conflict Resolution<\/em><\/a>, and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/journals\/gini20\"><em>International Interactions<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\">She is also highly engaged in service to the department, university, and the broader scholarly community.
