Seeking Nominations for new member for the APSA Religion and Politics Section Executive Committee

Dear Colleagues, the APSA Religion and Politics section is seeking nominations to fill three positions on the section’s Executive Committee. Committee members are crucial to the running of the section and collectively make decisions about section activities, administration, future directions, and section awards and grants. They serve for a two-year term. Executive Committee membership is typically required by section rules for holding other section leadership positions including Chair, Chair-Elect and Treasurer.

You may nominate yourself or a colleague. As a reminder, if you are nominating a colleague, please make sure that you have their consent before nomination, and CC them on the nomination email. To nominate yourself or a colleague, please forward a candidate’s short biography (no more than 150 words), including the candidate’s institutional affiliation, to apsa.religion.politics@gmail.com by Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Candidates will then participate in an online election in which all section members vote. The top three vote-getting candidates will assume the three vacant positions. We encourage all faculty members to apply as this  is a great way of serving the sub-field and making a difference in the profession.
