Welcome to the Qualitative and Multi-Method Research Section of the American Political Science Association!
Our section is a vibrant community of established and emerging scholars. We welcome all political scientists who do or are curious about qualitative and/or multi-method research.
The goals of the section are to promote research and training focused on the several branches of methodology associated with the qualitative tradition; and to strive for an integrated understanding of these diverse methods and of their relationship to quantitative methods.
Each year, the section sponsors several awards, APSA short courses, and more. We also publish Qualitative and Multi-Method Research.
