Publishing Workshop for Southeast Asian Politics
Singapore | July 31, 2023

Organized in partnership with Singapore Management University, APSA’s Publishing Workshop for Southeast Asian Politics was held in Singapore on July 31, 2023. This one-day professional development workshop was held alongside the Southeast Asia Research Group (SEAREG) Summer Conference to maximize opportunities for networking and professional development. Attended by 22 early-career scholars representing 12 countries, the program focused on advancing and publishing research related to Southeast Asian politics. Participants were invited to join both interactive sessions and discussions of broader career issues such as navigating the job market, fieldwork, and networking. The 2023 publishing workshop was part of APSA’s effort to support political science research among early-career scholars in East and Southeast Asia and strengthen research networks linking Asian scholars with colleagues overseas. The working language of the conference was English.
