E. Nicole Thornton

Dr. Thornton’s work focuses on the persistence of structural racial inequality in liberal democracies in spite of expanding multicultural policies. Her research explores why and how some non-dominant populations have been left behind, while others have begin to realize the benefits of inclusion. Her current project seeks to answer these questions by comparatively analyzing multicultural policies in Trinidad and Maritius.
