Centennial Center

for Political Science and Public Affairs

The Special Projects Fund has supported collaborative, member-led initiatives aimed at advancing the political science discipline and addressing challenges facing the profession. The fund prioritizes evidence-based projects with broad impact across teaching, research, service, and public engagement, rather than traditional single-author scholarly work. Calls were issued periodically, depending on available funding.

The program is not currently being offered. While there is no set timeline for its return, future consideration would depend on the availability of funds and approval by the APSA Council.

Formerly part of the Winter Centennial Center Research Grants Cycle,  the Research Projects on Critical Issues (RPCI), Growing Democracy (GD), and Peer-to-Peer Pedagogical Partnership Grants (P4) were made possible through a generous gift from the Ivywood Foundation. Those funds were fully expended in 2024, and these grant programs are not being offered at this time.
