We have made an effort to create registration fees for the virtual meeting in line with the services being offered. We understand these are difficult times and have discounted the registration rate by 50%. In addition, we are waiving pre-conference short course and TLC at APSA fees as part of the virtual meeting. Not only will participants have access to approximately the same amount of content as before, but we anticipate recording sessions, with presenters’ consent, so attendees will have access to sessions after the meeting. There are numerous considerations and costs associated with hosting a quality virtual meeting of this scale. We run approximately 70-80 sessions at any given time, with more than 1,500 total events. Due to the large size, we are working with a virtual meeting platform provider that will help us integrate all sessions together for a cohesive meeting experience.
We will also be offering expanded accessibility grants, in place of traditional travel grants, that can be used to support scholars. We recognize some members renew their membership in conjunction with their meeting registration. We have increased the number of years that members are eligible to hold Student and Unemployed memberships. Members are now eligible to hold Student Memberships for 8-years and Unemployed Memberships for 3 years. APSA Multi-Year Memberships now include a 10% discount on membership dues.
All program participants must register by Monday, July 20, 2020, to remain on the program.
