Thank you to all 2024 Virtual Research Meeting participants, speakers, and attendees for making APSA’s inaugural Virtual Research Meeting a productive, enriching experience for all!

February 8th and 9th, 2024 (EST) | “Challenge in Political Science” | View the Online Program

The 2024 American Political Science Association’s (APSA) Virtual Research Meeting was an inaugural online event on February 8th and 9th (EST)! The two-day event provided a forum for scholars interested in sharing their research, providing constructive feedback for others, and creating partnerships and networks for future collaboration.

We were excited to welcome over 400 political science scholars from across all subfields and various career stages of the discipline at our virtual meeting. This 100% digital event featured opportunities to learn from research workshops, general panels, and three virtual keynote panels around the theme of “Challenges in Political Science.”

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the attendees, participants, Research Group organizers, and the program committee for their invaluable contributions in making the first APSA Virtual Research Meeting an outstanding success. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and scholarly engagement truly elevated the event, creating a vibrant and intellectually stimulating atmosphere. We are immensely grateful for your active participation, insightful discussions, and commitment to advancing political science research in the digital realm. Without your support and collaboration, this milestone event would not have been possible. Thank you for your unwavering support and for being integral to the success of the APSA Virtual Research Meeting. We look forward to continued collaboration and innovation in future endeavors.

As the virtual format of this meeting allows for new ways of structuring these discussions, we strongly encourage you to contribute your innovative and unique panel ideas and formats to make our inaugural Virtual Research Meeting even more engaging and thought-provoking. Creative topics could incorporate pedagogy, teaching and learning, academic freedom, or AI in political science, while innovative panel formats may include a comparative panel on Trump’s trials featuring constitutional law scholars and comparativists, a 3-minute elevator pitch workshop for dissertations, and more.
